PARIS, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Second-seeded Kim Clijsters edged closer to a potential semifinal showdown with fellow Belgian Justine Henin-Hardenne after a 6-1, 6-4 whitewash of 15th seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia at the French Open on Sunday. The 22-year-old Clijsters crunched 22 winners and nailed 70 percent of her first serves, triumphing in 66 minutes and moving into the quarterfinals for the third time.
