Switzerland beats China 4-1 in World Cup warmup

Beijing, June 5(Sinosoc) -- Dong Fangzhuo scored a last-gasp consolation for China as Zhu Guanghu's national team went down 4-1 against World Cup-bound Switzerland.

The Europeans, who are in the same World Cup group as South Korea, took the lead after 40 minutes of the international friendly when Alexander Frei netted from close range.

Marco Streller appeared to handle the ball for Switzerland's second two minutes after the restart, with Frei firing in from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 after 49 minutes.

Streller rounded Li Leilei and slot into an open goal for his second and Switzerland's fourth on 73 minutes.

In time added on Dong headed home a Li Tie cross to score China's first goal against a European team under the leadership of Zhu Guanghu.

In a second international friendly on Wednesday China face France in Saint Etienne.
