WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- American D.J. Trahan birdied the last two holes to maintain his two-shot lead on Saturday at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic golf in Madison, Mississippi.
Trahan carded a one-under-par 71 in the third round at Annandale Golf Club for a 12-under total of 204 when he is chasing his first PGA Tour title.
Twice U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen was alone in second place after firing a five-birdie 67 with fellow American Brad Faxon (72) and Swede Daniel Chopra (68) a further stroke behind in a tie for third.
Fred Funk, winner at Annandale in 1998 and 2004, shot a 71 to sit six strokes off the pace along with six others, including 2004 European Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer, who returned a second successive 68.
