WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Free agent Scott Padgett plans to rejoin the Houston Rockets in a one-year contract, according to reports from Houston Saturday.

Houston television KRIV reported Saturday that Padgett would sign with the team on Sunday though details weren't disclosed.

"I have agreed to a one year non-guaranteed contract. It's a tough situation, I know that. But, I think there are some things Ican bring to the table that can help the Rockets," Padgett was quoted as saying.

The small forward played with the Utah Jazz for four seasons before signing with the Rockets in 2003 as a backup. He signed with the New Jersey Nets in 2005 but was waived from the club in June.

Padgett averaged 3.4 points per game last season. Enditem
