VIENNA, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Ivan Ljubicic from Croatia defeated Chilean Fernando Gonzalez 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 at the Vienna BA-CA Tennis Trophy men's singles final on Sunday to defended his Vienna title. The third-ranked Croatian fired 17 aces in the final and served up just one double fault. Besides, he won 88 percent of points on his first serve and 66 percent of points on his second serve. The victory brought Ljubicic not only his 60th match win of the season, but also 250 ATP entry points, 108,000 Euro prize money and 42 ATP Race points. Meanwhile, it's also the third ATP tournament title for him in this season. "It's the second year in a row where I didn't drop a set or my serve. It's incredible," said Ljubicic in the press conference after the final. "I really played superb and I really hope to keep playing this well for the rest of the year." The 42 Race points for the Croatian pulled clear of Andy Roddick in the battle for the No. 3 spot in the race to the Tennis Masters Cup, which would be held in November in Shanghai, China. Enditem
