IOC president Rogge to visit Japan this week

TOKYO, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge will visit Japan this week, Kyodo News reported Monday, quoting Japanese Olympic Committee officials.

Rogge will arrive on Wednesday for his first trip to Japan in four year. During his four-day stay, he will meet with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko and visit Tsukuba University.

Rogge last visited Japan in 2002 when Japan co-hosted the soccer World Cup finals with South Korea. Enditem
