Umana will initially coach America for a year with the intention of helping the team recover from this bad moment. "For now I promise work and dedication. I am not a magician. But we all have to get this going," said America's new Colombian coach, who comes from coaching Deportes Quindio, team which was also eliminated from the semifinal's quarter finals. Umana, already coached America in 1996 when he led it to be Copa Libertadores' sub champion, said Alez Escobar will be the coach assistant. "Returning to America is a big challenge, mainly due to the difficult situation it is going through. I want to do whatever I can so the team recovers," Umana said.
