Brazil's Dunga says Ronaldo is ready
2007-05-01 07:21:44 Xinhua English

RIO DE JANEIRO, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's national soccer team coach Dunga told Monday's media he is watching Ronaldo's play in the Italian Milan club and considers the striker does not have to be tested.

"I am watching Ronaldo closely and I know he is ready: He is not a player who has to be tested," Dunga said in an interview published Monday by O Estado de Sao Paulo daily.

"Many things have to be analyzed before calling him" to the national soccer team, Dunga said.

Since Dunga assumed the command of Brazil's national team last year, after the five-time world champion's elimination in Germany's World Cup, Ronaldo is the only Brazilian attacker left out of the nine friendly games played by Brazil so far.
