Brazil's Lincoln signs four-year contract with Turkey's Galatasaray

ANKARA, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Turkey's Galatasaray soccer club on Tuesday signed a four-year contract with Brazilian midfielder Cassio de Souza Soares Lincoln who moved from Schalke 04 of Germany, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

The signing ceremony took place at Galatasaray's Florya Metin Oktay Facilities in the Turkish largest city of Istanbul, according to Anatolia.

The report said taht 28-year-old Lincoln helped Schalke 04 get second place in the Bundesliga, earning them an automatic spot in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League.

Lincoln became the third foreign recruit for Galatasaray, with the UEFA Cup contenders having also signed Sweden captain Tobias Linderoth and Algeria defender Ismael Bouzid.
