QINHUANGDAO, East China, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Olympic Games' first venue-testing event this year, the International Women's Soccer Invitational Tournament 2007, has drawn attentions from almost all press in China but failed to catch eyes of foreign media.

Up to 300 local reporters, journalists, photographers, network and television workers have registered to cover the tournament from July 1 to 10 co-hosted by East China cities Shenyang and Qinhuangdao, where some of the Beijing Olympic soccer matches will play next year.

Just nine reporters from foreign media had asked for permits, but none of them, respectively from AFP, American's news agency Bloomberg, Japanese dailies Asahi and Yomiuri Shimbun, had shown up yet for accreditation card.

The women's soccer tourney, one of the test events to the venues of 2008 Olympic Games, naming the "Good Luck Beijing Series" to be held in July and August, invited Mexico, Italy and Thailand to join hosts China in a four-nation friendly invitational tournament starting here Sunday.
