MATURIN, Venezuela, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Brazil defeated Chile 3-0 on Sunday in their Group B game of the Copa America at the Monumental Stadium, some 512 km east of Caracas. Robinho converted a disputed first-half penalty and then added two late goals to lead Brazil to a 3-0 victory over Chile, restoring the defending champion's confidence of reaching the quarterfinals at the Copa America. Robinho scored all three goals for Brazil, the first in the 36th minute in a penalty shot, and two others in the last 10 minutes of play, in minutes 83 and 87.
