SHANGHAI, Aug. 1 -- NBA star Yao Ming took wedding pictures with his fiancée Ye Li in Lin'an City of Zhejiang Province on Monday morning, Sina.com reported today.

The couple arrived at 6am and spent two hours taking pictures in scenic spots in Taihuyuan. The area is regarded as a smaller Jiuzhaigou, the report said. Jiuzhaigou is one of China's natural wonders in Sichuan Province and a popular tourist attraction.

Yao's arrival attracted many people and some even got his signature, the report said. The lucky locals were impressed.

"Yao changed into two suits and Ye wore a white wedding dress," a villager said. "Both of them looked fantastic."

Couples in China usually take wedding pictures before their wedding ceremony.

Shanghai's Youth Daily said last month that the couple would apply for a marriage certificate and hold a wedding ceremony soon.
