2007-08-05 17:32:59 Xinhua English

SHENYANG, Northeast China, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Japanese coach Sorimachi Yasuharu said he will be blamed in Japan for their loss to Botswana here on Sunday.

The Japanese Olympic team suffered a stunning 1-0 loss to the less fancied African team, which ruled out the Asian powerhouse's chance of being crowned in the four-nation soccer tournament.

"This is not a very easy game for us. The players did not adjust to their best form, " he said at the press conference.

"The players failed to play like a team," he added.

He said the three games played in the tournament will help them make a better preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games.
