CHIANG MAI, Thailand, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's Jang Mi-ran clinched her third straight world championships overall title on Wednesday when she upset Mu Shuangshuang of China again to win the women's over 75kg category. Jang combined lifts of 138kg in the snatch with 181kg in the clean and jerk to finish with 319kg, equaling the world record setby China's Mu Shuangshuang minutes before. "I knew it would be a very fierce competition. Mu is also strong, so I am happy that I can win her again," Jang told reporters after the competition. Being the heavier of the two lifters by 20kg, Mu had to settle for the silver medal. The 23-year-old Mu hoisted 139kg in the snatch and 180kg in the jerk. "I am expecting to meet her (Jang) next time in the Olympics, and try to beat her there," Mu said. Jang said it's "God's will" that she defeated Mu for the third time at the world championships. "Every lifter wants to be unique in the competition. Mu and I lifted the same total weight in three worlds, and I took the gold every time because of the bodyweight advantage," Jang said. "That's not my decision. It's God's will." Olha Korobka of Ukraine grabbed the bronze with 281kg.
