Kenyan Komen wins men's 1500m title

SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan Daniel Kipchirchir Komen claimed men's 1500m title at the 2007 Shanghai Golden Grand Prix here on Friday.

The 23-year-old Komen clocked three minutes and 31.75 seconds, a new match record, to win the gold.

Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia clocked three minutes and 32.35 seconds to win the silver as the bronze went to Yusuf Saad Kamel of Bahrain in a time of 3:34.59.
