BANGKOK, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Thai twins Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana defeated French pair Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut on Sunday to win the men's doubles title, while Russian Dmitry Tursunov beat German Benjamin Becker to gain the singles trophy of the ATP event Thailand Open 2007.

After the first match of Sunday's finals, the Ratiwatana twin brothers became the first Thais to win a doubles title of a ATP tournament. It took the Thai twins one hour and 10 minutes to catch up from behind after the first set loss and to finally beat third-seeded French duo Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut 3-6 7-5 10-7 in front of some 8,000 fans at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani near Bangkok.

In the afternoon, with a 6-2, 6-1 victory, sixth-seeded Tursunov terminated the smooth run of the unseeded Becker, who had made through to Sunday's finals by beating world No. 15 Carlos Moya, local star Danai Udomchoke, and then world No. 10 Tomas Berdych at Saturday's semi-finals.

This is the third ATP singles title earned by Tursunov, currently ranking 29th.

Thailand Open 2007, an annual event since 2003 and the only ATP tournament in the Southeast Asia region, officially kicked off on Tuesday and offered a prize money of a total 550,000 U.S. dollars.
