Wuhan, Central China, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Team Wuhan has booked the fourth tennis title at the Sixth Chinese City Games after their top player Bai Yan overcame Nanjing's Zhang Ze without having too much trouble in men's singles semifinals on Thursday.

The other semifinal will see an all-Wuhan clash between Jiang Chuan and Chen Sa.

The 18-year-old Bai, who has claimed the men's team and mixed doubles for Wuhan, only allowed his opponent to hold serve three times in the 6-2, 6-1 win.

Zhang, ranked top in the tournament, hit the ball harder than Bai, but made more unforced errors, dropping serve twice in the first set before losing at 6-2.

In the second set, Zhang still have difficulty in holding serve, while Bai's top spin caused even more trouble than in the opening set. Zhang held serve in the first game, but Bai took the next six games in a row.

"I play my game, and I will fight for more titles at the Games," said Bai, who joined the juniors' national team this year.

In Wednesday's men's doubles, Bai partnered Jiang Chuan to reach final too, ensuring him the possibility of claiming four titles at the tournament. The pair will also meet Wuhan players in the men's doubles final.
