Chinese Zou wins world boxing title

CHICAGO, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- China's Zou Shiming outpointed Harry Tanamor of the Philippines to win the gold medal in the 48 kilogram division at the World Amateur Boxing Championships on Saturday.

Zou, China's hope for an Olympic boxing gold, last time won the world championship title in 2005.

Tanamor took the silver while France's Nordine Oubaali and Thailand's Ammat Ruenroeng won bronze medals.
