BERLIN, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Hamburg SV and Nurberg both sealed 2-0 win at home on Sunday. With the win, Hamburg have kept up with leaders FC Bayern and Werder Bremen to compete for the Bundesliga top title. For Nurnberg, the surprise and valuable victory against Dortmund has helped them on the verge of coming out of relegation zone. In face of 57,000 fans on Sunday, Hamburg won 2-0 and cemented their third place in the Bundesliga standings, making the "Red Shorts" just one point behind Bayern and level on points with Werder, who they face next. Dutch international Rafael van der Vaart and Ivica Olic ensured that the hosts extended their unbeaten run to 13 competitive matches. After 19 minutes captain van der Vaart found the far corner with a low shot from 12 meters after compatriot Romeo Castelen had set him up. Hansa barely had any goal scoring opportunities, while van der Vaart, Olic and others missed further chances to double HSV's lead. However, Olic improved after the break when his flick-on header from Trochowski's cross found the back of the net. This is HSV's fifth home win this season, while Hansa suffered their sixth away defeat and stay in 15th place. In the other match, Nurnberg picked up a valuable win at home against Dortmund. They won the game 2-0 but still remain in one of the relegation spots. Tomas Galasek and Angelos Charisteas scored the goals for the home side in front of 41,020 fans. Dortmund's misery was completed with the dismissal of Markus Bzenska in the 86th minute for two bookings. Nurnberg have 12 points in hands, and their fans will be hoping that the victory change their poor fate of the season.
