LONDON, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Jermain Defoe missed an injury-timepenalty as Tottenham Spurs were held 1-1 at the striker's old club West Ham in Sunday's Premier League. In the other Sunday clash, Stephen Warnock rescued a point for Blackburn with a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw at Fulham. The Hammers took advantage of a Spurs defence mistake to take the lead after 20 minutes when Carlton Cole finished off a move started by a howler from Younes Kaboul. The visitors increased their tempo in the second period and were rewarded when keeper Robert Green failed to punch away a free-kick, allowing Michael Dawson headed into an empty net. Defoe was presented with a golden opportunity to secure three points in added time after Lucas Neill was adjudged to have fouledzthe former West Ham striker in the area. But Green saved expertly, tipping the ball onto the post. Minutes before half time referee Mike Riley chose to wave away strong penalty appeals when Green tripped Robbie Keane in the box. A flurry of second-half goals saw Blackburn twice come from behind to clinch a draw at Craven Cottage. After a goalless first period, Danny Murphy put Fulham ahead from the spot on 51 minutes following Ryan Nelsen's foul on Diomansy Kamara in the box. Brett Emerton responded in emphatic fashion six minutes later before Kamara put the hosts ahead again, sliding the ball in from four yards out. With just 12 minutes left, Warnock tapped in to seal the draw.
