BRASILIA, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- The most supported soccer club in Brazil, Flamengo, qualified for the 2008 Libertadores Cup after beating Athletico-PR in the 37th round of the Brasileiro championship 2-0 on Sunday.

Goals from Renato Augusto and Juan helped the team ensure the win.

With Sunday's result, Flamengo guaranteed their spot in the 2008 tournament on 61 points. Cruzeiro, the team closest to Flamengo, has a total of 57 points. The four point puts Flamengo just out of the reach of Cruzeiro.

Both teams still have another game to play. Flamengo will visit Nautico in Recife, while Atletico-PR hosts Sao Paulo in Curitiba next Sunday.
