LONDON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane has appealed against a red card rejected in a Premier League match, said the Football Association on Tuesday.
"At a Regulatory Commission hearing today, Tottenham Hotspur's Robbie Keane had a claim for wrongful dismissal rejected," it told its website www.thefa.com.
During Spurs' 3-2 home defeat to Birmingham City on Sunday, Keane was sent off for serious foul play after a tackle on Fabrice Muamba. The Ireland forward has to serve a suspension for three domestic matches.
