BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Argentine Boca Juniors soccer club traveled on Wednesday to Japan to play in the World Soccer Club Championship hosted by Japan from December 7-16 with a 16-million U.S.-dollar prize fund.

Boca's midfielder soccer star Juan Roman Riquelme integrates the delegation although he cannot play in the games since he was not included on time in his team preliminary players' list.

Boca is the current Copa Libertadores de America 2007's champion thanks to Riquelme's great team play.

Boca will play its first game on Wednesday's semifinals against the winner of Mexico's Pachuca club against Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia.

The other teams participating are Milan from Italy, Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan, Waitakare United from New Zealand and Sepahan FC from Iran.

Boca's delegation parted towards Paris, France from Ezeiza international airport at 18:00 local time (21:00 GMT) from where they will fly to Tokyo, Japan.
