Bayern to lose Altintop for rest games in 2007

BERLIN, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Turkish midfielder Halil Altintop will miss this year's remaining matches with Bayern Munich due to injury, the Bundesliga club said on Wednesday.

Altintop has had surgery on his injured knee and will miss the league games against Duisburg and Hertha Berlin plus the UEFA Cup tie with Aris Salonika on Dec. 19 before the winter holiday.

The Bundesliga's mid-season break starts on Dec. 18 and runs until Feb. 2.
