Homenmen escalades ladder to Lebanese preliminary football tournament

BEIRUT, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Homenmen soccer club qualified for the second preliminary tournament in the Lebanese Football Cup after beating host team Ijtimai (4-3) in the postponed game from the first tournament, local Terranet reported on Thursday.

The game that took place at Tripoli Municipality Stadium witnessed Jaafar Moursel scoring three goals while Mohammad Maatouk netted a winning penalty kick, said the report.

On the other hand, Ali Awaly, Ayman, Maksoud and Mahmoud Abboudscored the three goals for Ijtimai, it added.
