ULAN BATOR, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- China signed an agreement with Mongolia on Thursday to invest 15 million U.S. dollars to help build the largest gymnasium in the country.
Under the agreement, the project will be started by a Chinese construction company in the first quarter of 2008.
Upon the scheduled completion by 2010, the gymnasium, with a capacity to hold 5,000 people, will be the largest and most advanced in the landlocked Asian country.
Recent years have seen growing exchanges between China and Mongolia on education and sports. In 2006, China decided to help its northern neighbor to build the gymnasium.
