RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Striker Adriano said that he would like to go back to Italy's Internazionale after winning atitle for team Sao Paulo, which hired him to play the 2008 Libertadores Cup.
"The team is strong and I hope to win a title to go back to Italy on my feet," said the player, who came to Brazil to try to recover from his disappointing performances for Inter, which brought severe criticism over his bohemian attitude off the field.
He started practicing at Sao Paulo in November, and on Wednesday he was announced as the club's new asset for the upcoming competitions.
"I want to give a lot of joy to the fans. I want to show people that what I did wrong was wrong, and that I am open to learn," admitted Adriano, who added that Sao Paulo has a very good structure to heal the athletes, not only the (physically) injured, but the psychologically too."
The striker said that he plans to play at every opportunity he may have, even friendly games, as it is important to be playing, also to return to the national team.
However, Adriano stressed that, if he scores a goal on Flamengo in the Libertadores Cup or in the Brazilian League, he will not celebrate it, because he started playing in the junior divisions for the team, of which he is a huge fan.
