BRASILIA, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Reinaldo from the Brazilian soccer team of Botafogo said on Monday he would make a better season in 2008 and does not want to leave the club.
"I came back from Turkey, and the conditioning and level of play in Brazil is much more rigorous. I needed to be in better condition to play here," said Reinaldo.
"For this reason, I did not have a good season. However, in 2008, pre-season training will help me to have a good season. If they have patience with me, I will prove to be a good player and will return to be a starter for Botafogo," he added.
Reinaldo, after having left the club in 2006, returned to Botafogo in the middle of the 2007 season after a short stay with Vestel Manisapor, Turkey.
After coming back to the Brazilian team, Reinaldo played in 19 games scoring twice.
