Ginobili sidelined due to sprained finger

WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- San Antonio's Manu Ginobili might miss the NBA game against Chicago on Wednesday, said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.

Argentine forward Ginobili, the Spurs' top reserve, was hurt on Saturday in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, when he aggravated an injury that occurred in a Dec. 2 game against the Portland TrailBlazers.

"He's probably going to miss a little bit of time," said Popovich. "It's just a matter of how much."

"They X-rayed it and there is nothing new, but he's got a bad hand. The ligaments are quite sore, and whatever happens to the ligaments has happened without tearing."
