Indonesia and Thailand to co-host Asean football championships 2008

JAKARTA, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia and Thailand have been selected to co-host the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Championships in 2008, the official website of the Indonesian Soccer Association said on Monday.

After studying the possibilities from five potential countries - the others being Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam - the AFF Council Meeting which was held in Bali decided to give the hosting job to both Indonesia and Thailand.

It added that the drawing for the cup is scheduled to take place on August 1, 2008.
