Late Walcott goal earns draw for Arsenal over Tottenham in Cup

LONDON, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Theo Walcott came to Arsenal's rescue as his late goal helped Arsenal earn a 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the League Cup semi-final first leg here on Wednesday.

Tottenham, which had lost twice to its fierce rival in the Premier League this season, had more of the chances at Emirates Stadium and led through a 37th-minute goal from midfielder Jermaine Jenas, but the home team equalised with 11 minutes to go.

The second leg is at White Hart Lane on Jan. 22 with the winners meeting either Chelsea or Everton in the final at Wembley on Feb. 24.
