Valencia's Fernandes joins Everton on loan

MADRID, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Spanish soccer club Valencia have decided to loan midfielder Manuel Fernandes to English Premier league club Everton until the end of the season.
Valencia signed the 21-year-old from Benfica on a six-year contract in August, but he has only made five league starts.
Fernandes had loan spells at Portsmouth and Everton last season and was reported to be close to agreeing a permanent move to the Merseyside club in the summer.
