ROME, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Austria's Elisabeth Goergl won the final women's World Cup giant slalom of the season in Bormio, Italy, on Saturday.
Goergl finished second in the discipline's standings, followed by Italy's Denise Karbon, who had already secured the giant slalom title with five wins this season.
Karbon was eight in the day's competition.
Italian Manuela Moelgg was third in the giant slalom rankings after finishing second in the race.
Austrian Kathrin Zettel was third on the day.
