MEXICO CITY, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Guadalajara, known as the Chivas (Goats), led the Mexico's soccer tournament with an unbeaten record at the end of the 11th round while similarly popular team America stayed bottom, local media said on Monday.

Chivas defeated Pachuca 2-1 at home to top the league with 25 points, three points over second placed San Luis.

Omar Bravo, who is also the national team's lead striker, opened scoring for Chivas with his 99th league goal. On 31 minutes, Colombia's Luis Gabriel Rey evened the score, but failed to keep it through the end as in the 85th minute Sergio Avila made it 2-1 for Chivas to seal the victory.

America extended its winless streak to seven with a 1-0 loss at its home Azteca Stadium, to visitors Toluca's Diablos (Devils). Argentine Christian Giminez scored the match's only goal in minute 27. The losing streak is the team's worst in 30 years.
