SANTIAGO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Chilean soccer club Colo Colo was hit hard on Tuesday as all its technical staff resigned, including its Argentine coach Claudio Borghi.

The decision was triggered due to disputes between players and Colo Colo's administrative managers respect the awards agreed upon for the season.

The resignations complicates matters for Colo Colo since it is getting ready to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina to play the Copa Libertadores' return game on Thursday against Argentine club Boca Juniors.

Colo Colo's directives are currently trying to negotiate Borghi's and the technical staff's return.

However, Borghi and his collaborators back the players' demand for due award payments, while Colo Colo's directive headed by Gabriel Ruiz Tagle already decided not to increase the awards.

The disagreement surged because the players requested a 100 percent award increase for 2007, while the directives only offered an increase close to 40 percent.

"Our players are the best paid in the country (Chile), their wages are paid on time and there is no reason why they should make such a demand, The club is not going to negotiate under these conditions now nor in the future," said Ruiz Tagle.
