BRASILIA, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Uberlandia beat Iguazu 95-58 to secure a spot in Brazilian men's national basketball league quarterfinals.
The leading scorers of the game were Leandro Salgueiro from Uberlandia with 21 points, and Rafael from Iguazu with 19 points.
"The team, the city and the fans deserve this win. We were able to guarantee our presence in the next round of competitions. That has been a goal for us throughout the year," said Uberlandia's head coach Carlos Romano.
Elsewhere in the league, Lajeado beat Rio Claro by a score of 76-70. Audrei from Lajeado led with 25 points. For Rio Claro, Vanderlei scored a team high 20 points.
