BUENOS AIRES, April 6 (Xinhua) -- A spectator died Sunday morning at the Rosendo Hernandez motor-racing circuit in the city of San Luis in northeast Argentina, hit by a tire of a car that went out during the competition.

Three others were injured, one of them seriously. The accident took place in the TC trail, previous category of the Turismo Carretera (TC), the most popular of the country, when the Ford Falcon driven by Gabriel Zughella lost its left back tire that went out and crossed the fence close to the spectator's area.

A 40-year-old man, from Mendoza, died at the moment after receiving a hard hit on the head and other three people were injured and were taken to health centers, one of them in a serious state.

The tire went more than 200 meters and crossed the fence after crashing into other buried tires, set up as a barrier.

The event was restarted and hour and half after, which angered some spectators who tried to block the trail in order to stop the competition. The police intervened and the show continued.
