BUENOS AIRES, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Argentine soccer giant Boca Juniors traveled to Mexico on Sunday for their Tuesday's match against Mexican team Atlas in Group Three of Latin America's most prestigious club competition the Copa Libertadores.
"We have no choice but to win," Carlos Ischia, a junior coach at Boca, told media on Sunday at Buenos Aires's Ezeiza International Airport. "Atlas will be a tough rival. It has good players and will be a challenge at home."
The team boarded Mexicana's flight number 1692 to Guadalajara without some of its top players. Juan Roman Riquelme, Hugo Ibarra, Pablo Ledesma, Fabian Monzon and Gabriel Paletta, are also suffering injuries.
Boca's domestic results are less than encouraging. It tied 1-1 at its home La Bonbonera (Chocolate Box) stadium with visitor Banfield during the ninth round in the Closing Tournament.
Atlas and Boca are tied in the lead of the Copa's Group Three with seven points. Chile's Colo Colo has six points and Venezuela's Union Atletico Maracaibo is a distant fourth with two points.
