Ricardo/Emanuel win fifth beach volleyball title this year

BRASILIA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Ricardo/Emanuel beat Franco/Pedro Cunha 18-16, 18-15 in a Brazilian beach volleyball final to win their fifth title of the year in Caceres on Sunday.

Following Sunday's victory, the duo set two Brazilian records as they won their 25th straight game as well as fifth title of the year.

"These are important achievements for us. These records give us an extra boost of confidence. They prove that our hard work is paying off. However, we cannot lose our concentration," said Emanuel.

Rodrigo/Hevaldo stepped onto the podium for the first time this year to receive the bronze medal.
