JAKARTA, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Argentine soccer great Gabriel Omar Batistuta and former national goalie Sergio Javier Goycochea will arrive in Jakarta next month to share their knowledge and experience.
They will arrive on May 2 for a three-day sport and social visit here, local newspaper The Jakarta Post reported Wednesday.
"Aside from giving clinics to professional soccer players, they will also visit schools and attend some charity activities," event organizer Luis Lestani was quoted as saying.
The 39-year-old Batistuta, also known as Batigol, is a former striker for Italy's Fiorentina and AS Roma, with which he scored 184 goals in 318 matches between 1991 and 2003.
He is placed the eighth on the list of all-time scorers in Serie A.
In his international career for his country, he scored 56 goals in 78 matches.
Goeycochea, nicknamed El Goyco, is famous for making penalty kick saves with the national team, including two saves in the 1990World Cup semifinal against host Italy that helped Argentina enter the final.
They lost 1-0 to Germany but Goycochea was chosen as the World Cup's all-star team goalkeeper.
