A Bangladeshi NGO organizes cricket training camp for blind

DHAKA, May 3 (Xinhua) -- A Bangladeshi Non-Governmental Organization is organizing a 15-day cricket training camp for blind youths in capital Dhaka with the purpose to spirit up the disabled people.

M A Baten, secretary general of National Association of Sports for the Persons with Disabilty (NASPD), told Xinhua Saturday the Blind Cricket Training Camp which started last month attracted 29 blind youths from Dhaka to attend.

"The prgram includes a series training and contests," he said.

Baten said they invited 6 cricket coaches from Pakistan to train the camp participants.

NASPD has organized three cricket training camps for blind since it was established in 2000. Baten said they also organize table tennis and football training camp for the disabled people.
