Chinese women's team wins silver of AVC Eastern Zonal Volleyball Championships

ULAN BATOR, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese women's team won the silver medal of the Asia Volleyball Confederation (AVC)'S 6th Eastern Zonal Volleyball Championships here on Sunday.

The Chinese team, from Central University of Finance and Economics, lost the final game to Japan.

Chinese men's team from Shandong University of Finance finished fourth while South Korea took the title.

The Championships opened on Monday and lasted seven days. A total of 15 teams from eight countries and regions of Asia competed in the championships.
