PRAGUE, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Czech soccer goalie Jaromir Blazek has left FC Nurnberg and signed a two-year contract with a one-year option with Sparta Prague, spokesman for the Czech first league club Jakub Otava said on Tuesday.
Nurnberg's president Michael Roth expected last week that all the team's stars, including Czech striker Jan Koller and midfielder Tomas Galasek, will leave because players would be paid much less now.
Blazek, 35, will be one of the most experienced footballers in the Czech first league now. He was Sparta's goalkeeper in 2000-2005.
Blazek announced that he ended his career in the national team at Euro. Galasek and Koller made the same decision. It is speculated that Sparta would like Koller to join its team, too.
