5th European Intercollegiate Beach Volleyball Championships starts in Turkey

ANKARA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- The Fifth European Intercollegiate Beach Volleyball Championships kicked off in southern Turkey on Wednesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

A total of 34 teams (including 16 female teams) from 15 countries and regions are competing at the championships in Manavgat town of province of Antalya, according to the report.

In men's category, Turkey is represented by the Ankara University and Dumlupinar University, said the report, adding that in women's category, Turkey is represented by Gazi University and Trakya University.

The Manavgat championships will end on June 21, added the report.
