Mayors of Beijing, London ascend podium for handover ceremony

BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Mayor Guo Jinlong and his London counterpart Boris Johnson ascended the podium in the National Stadium on Wednesday night, for a ceremony marking the handover of the Paralympic Games' host baton.

International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven has just declared the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games closed.
