CHANGCHUN, Northeast China, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- China and Germany won the men's and women's 500 meters title respectively atan ISU World Cup speed skating event here on Saturday.
China's Yu Fengtong won the men's event in 34.97 seconds, beating Japanese Keiichiro Nagashima and South Korean Kyou-Hyuk Lee into second and third places.
Germany's Jenny Wolf, ranked first in the world, took the women's title. South Korea's Sang-Hwa Lee and Dutch skater AnnetteGerritsen finished second and third.
Canada's Kristina Groves and South Korea's Stefan Groothuis won the gold medals in the women's and men's 1000 meters events, timing one minute and 18.18 seconds and 1:9.68 respectively.
