Four Chinese finalists compete in Indonesia Open

JAKARTA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Of five groups contended in the final round in Indonesia Open 2009 Super Series, Chinese players will vie in four groups on Sunday here.

In Women's single, the No. 3 Wang Lin will be challenged by Indian player Saina Nehwal who ranked No. 6. It will be a rematch for Saina who was defeated by Wang Lin in Singapore Open in the semifinal 19-21, 21-19 and 21-14.

Saina went to final after trashed Lu Lan 25-23 and 21-19 in the semifinal held on Friday. Meanwhile, Wang Li ousted her compatriot Xie Xingfang 21-19, 21-13, the No. 8 player, to get to the final.

In Women's Double, Chinese No. 2 players Cheng Shu/Wang Yunlie would challenge No. 1 players from Malaysia Wong Pei Tty/ Chin EeiHui. The Malaysian players trashed China Taipei players ranked No.2 Chen Wen Hsing/Chien Yu Chin 21-14 9-21 21-18.

Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng, the No. 5 Chinese players would take on South Koreans Jung Je Sung/Lee Yong Dae, the No. 6, in final round.

Cai/Fu reached final after defeated Malaysian No. 3 Koo Kien Keat/Tan Bong Heong 21-18, 11-21 and 15-21 in semi final on Friday.

In Men's double the No. 5 Zheng Bo/Ma Jin will vie South Koreans Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung who ranked No. 2.

Menwhile, Malaysian No. 1 Men's single player Lee Chong Wei was optimistic that he could demonstrate his best retaliation against his feuding Indonesian contender Taufik Hidayat in the final.

"He is in his best condition compared to he was in All England and Swiss Open. I have fifty-fifty chance to win the final game," the Kompas daily quoted Sunday Chong Wei as saying.

Chong Wei dumped Chen Jin, the Chinese No. 6 player 21-15, 22-20to get the final.

In the past, both Chong Wei and Taufik had already championed Indonesia Open Super Series.

The Malaysian player earned Malaysia Open and Swiss Open Super Series championships this year.

Chong Wei brought Malaysian team to semi final for the first time in Sudirman Cup held in Guangzhou on May.
