SINGAPORE, July 2 (Xinhua) -- China completed a double victory in the 2009 Asian Youth Games (AYG) as Wu Jianing and Guo Tingjie swept the top two positions in the finals of the boy 10-meters air rifle here on Thursday.

Both two Chinese shooters finished the final with a tied score of 686.2 points and there was a final shoot off between them for the first position. Guo settled for the silver with just 0.2 points under Wu in the shoot-off.

Wang Yifu, coach of the Chinese youth team, said that the gold medals could not show that China had an advantage in the youth shooting.

"They are too young,. It is hard to say whether they will be good shooters when they grow up. China had won both titles decided until now in the Games, but the young shooters of other Asian countries and regions are also good," said Wang, who is also the head coach of the Chinese senior team.

Singapore's Lim Wen Yi Abel held on to his third place with a final score of 685.6 points, claiming the first medal in shooting for the host nation.
