PARIS, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Li Na of China was ousted from the French Open fourth round as she lost to Kazakhstan's qualifier Yaroslava Shvedova 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 on Monday.

Seventh-seeded Li took the opening set in just 38 minutes, but Shvedova, ranked 142nd in the world, came back strong in the remaining time and even humiliated the defending champion with a 6-0 drubbing in the final set.

Shvedova's reward will be a quarterfinal clash against either American Varvara Lepchenko or fourth seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic.
