Myanmar to send 5 athletes to London Olympic Games

YANGON, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar will be represented by five athletes in archery, rowing, shooting and track and field events at the London Olympic Games.

Nay Myo Aung will compete in the men's recurve event, Thet Zaw Win in the men's 400m race, Nilar San in women's marathon, Shwe Sin Latt in the western rowing and Maung Kyu in the men's shooting event.

Myanmar sent six athletes to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games including Nay Myo Aung (archery) and Shwe Sin Latt (rowing).

Over 10,000 athletes are expected to take part in 302 events of 26 sports in the London Olympic Games which take place between July 27 and August 12.
